What is quilted fabric?

Quilted fabric is a special textile product that combines aesthetics and functionality. The most distinctive feature of quilted fabric is the patterns created by the stitching. These patterns enhance the fabric's aesthetic appearance and hold the filling in place.

Quilted fabric typically consists of three layers:

  • Top Layer : This layer is usually made of a fabric that is durable and aesthetically pleasing. Different materials such as cotton, polyester, or silk can be used.
  • Filling Layer : The middle layer typically consists of a soft filling material. Materials such as cotton, polyester fiber, or wool are used to enhance the quality and functionality of the filling. The filling layer provides volume and extra insulation to the quilted fabric.
  • Underlay : The underlay is made of a fabric similar to or the same type as the top layer. This layer ensures that both sides of the fabric are usable.
